The Dreaming Rewrite is complete!
Finally, I finished the rewrite! I know it may not seem like much, but it both changes a lot for my story, and was a lot harder to do to my satisfaction than it may seem.
I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do now. For more details, head on to the Dreaming!
Regarding Brennus, I’m expecting a new chapter to be done by the end of Tuesday (I have half of it written already); currently the only thing slowing me down is a rather nasty infection that’s been splitting my head since Friday. I’ve still been able to make progress on my writing, so it’s not too debiliating, and I’m optimistic about meeting this deadline, for once 😉

Update 24/02/17
This is humiliating.
I thought I’d written a note to explain the absence, but it seems I was too scatterbrained to do it.
As a belated notification: I had some personal issues to deal with and, more distractingly than that, had exams these last two weeks, which completely ate up my time to do much of anything else.
I’m sorry, sorry, sorry I messed this up.
However, there are good news. The Empty Dragon is almost two thirds done, and looks like it’ll be a 10.000+ word monster of an interlude. Look forward to it, because you’ll learn some stuff people have been wondering about for quite a while (looking at you, TheAnt). Expect it either tonight, or tomorrow by 2 pm.
From On High will follow on the same day, or else be done before midnight, this Sunday.
The Dreaming rewrite, plus a new (short) chapter will be complete by Monday, 3:30 pm.
Finally, the fourth promised update this month, the first chapter of the Call of the Sleeper arc (which I have been looking forward to for a long, long time) will be up on Tuesday, 9 pm.

Update 05/02/17
I really hate doing this, but I’ll have to delay the complete rewrite of the Dreaming, including the new chapter, until Tuesday, the 5th. There’s just no way for me to finish it before that, not if I want to keep up (or rather, improve) the quality.
However, I do have a definitive release date for the new Brennus chapter, “The Empty Dragon”, which will be out on Thursday, the 7th, around 5 pm.

Update 30/01/17
The new chapter, B012.b Matriarchy will be up tomorrow around 2 pm.
After that will come the rewrite of the Dreaming, starting from 2.2 Sam onwards, which should be complete, along with another chapter, by February 4.
Also, there is still an ongoing Patreon vote regarding the third interlude slot for Brennus, before B013 Call of the Sleeper starts! To those of my patrons who maybe didn’t notice it, please check the Patreon page in order to vote on that!

Delay
The new chapter will be delayed by 1 to 2 hours, I’m afraid, as I was faced with a few unexpected distractions.

Patreon Update
Ok, Patreon is coming along, though I’m having two problems I need to resolve, one big, one small:
- It only accepts Dollars for stretch goals and all – problem being, I’ll be getting Euro, not Dollar, which means I’ll be getting less than what my donation count indicates – not much less (the rate is about 0,95:1) but still. It’s annoying. Minor issue.
- I’m having a real problem coming up with good rewards for backer tiers. Hell, I’m not even sure whether should have tiers. What do you guys think? Should I include tiers? If so, what kind of rewards would you like?
Patreon & New Chapter
First, about the chapter – the first draft is complete and I am actually quite satisfied with it, so I’m going to get down to write the body of the chapter now; I actually have a release date in sight for it, more on that in a bit.
Secondly, about the Patreon. As many of you may know, I originally did not want to do Patreon until I managed to keep up a satisfying release schedule. Obviously, that has not happened.
Equally obviously, trying to balance two jobs, seminars and a social life are not conductive to establishing said schedule in the first place. So after repeated prodding from my dear fans, as well as several people close to me, I have decided to swallow my unproductive pride and open a Patreon for any who want to to support my writing.
I am currently in the process of setting up said account and my Patreon site, as well as defining some kind of tiers… unfortunately, I won’t be able to promise a steady flow of chapters unless we hit a certain minimum amount of money a month, if only so I can quit one of my jobs and, you know, focus on this.
That being said, I am not going to rush this. As such, the Patreon will go live on January 10, which also happens to be my birthday, at 12:00 am, Central European Time (UTC+1).
The new chapter will go live five days before that, on January 5, at 12:00 am CET.
There’ll be at least one more update regarding the Patreon situation on this blog, in the intervening time – I intend to share my thoughts on it all as I work it out. Stay tuned for more, and thank you all for your continued support and incessant prodding – keep them coming!
