Cast Page & Update

The cast page is back! You can find it under Content -> The Blazing Stars -> Book 1: Brennus or by following this link. It’s not nearly complete yet, but I’ll be steadily updating it until it encompasses all the characters introduced so far; the goal is to have their name, their cape/cowl (if applicable) and a sentence or two describing them.

Still working on the update and hoping I’ll be done today. More on that later πŸ˜‰

Sincerely,

Tieshaunn

Update 04/08/15

Alright, so the chapter is a little delayed. Real life once more reared its ugly head, and I had two seperate cases of bullshit legal trouble drop into my lap on the same day, both of which demanded my full attention for most of the day.

I’m not cancelling the chapter, though, just moving it to Wednesday. I’m sorry you have to wait, but there’s no way I’m going to finish it today, with the state I’m in right now.

Sincerely,

Tieshaunn

Final Exam

Finally done with exams! Good riddance!Β Ate an utterly decadent (not to mention unhealthy) lunch at McDumb in order to celebrate.

I’ll finally get to finishing Les Aspirantes today, I think; no more exams to distract me!

Then I’ll have at least a month, if not more, off to relax, recover and write… unless something unexpected happens (again) and I have to get stuff done (again)…

Nope. Let’s not go there. Let’s stop at “write”. If I think too much, I’ll get depressed again. Sometimes I wish I’d been born less imaginative, it might’ve led to a happier life… then again, I probably wouldn’t be writing my stories if I was less imaginative, and seeing how much happiness these bring…

Overthinking it, again. I have at least a month off now. Time to enjoy it!

To Pass Time

Since I probably won’t publish anything until Sunday at the earliest, here’s a few other works you might like:

  • Goodfae
    • An urban fantasy/mob story during the time of the prohibition
    • A serial with a lot of work put into the setting and premise. It’s quite the entertaining read.
  • Raising Angels/Defection
    • One’s an urban fantasy story about a girl-turned-angel, the other a superhero tale
    • Not much to comment on. Two different stories, solid writing and a lot of thought and love put into the settings and characters.
  • Twisted Cogs
    • Where do I even begin with this one? Urban Fantasy during the time of the renaissance, with magic superpowers and weird artisan guilds thrown in. Definitely give it a try!
    • Has, in my opinion, a very nice pace, far better than most serial authors usually manage at first.
    • Has a smut option.

Heat Death of the Universe

My friends, I think the time has come – the end is upon us.

It’s either that, or it’s just plain that hot right now. Classes were pure torture (most rooms I’m in have broken ACs and no or too small windows) and I very nearly passed out during the train ride plain home. I did see people pass out, including one baby, which made its mother flip out entirely (fortunately, it could be roused and was just cranky in the end).

Now I’m sitting in front of my pc, with two bottles of iced water, and I’m still melting T_T

New Dreaming Chapter

Finally

In case you don’t know, The Dreaming is a side project of mine – an urban fantasy/horror serial about a girl in South England who stumbles upon a secret world of… well, you can guess the basics; though I’m trying to give it my own unique spin. I’d be very happy if people took a look; if you’re new to it, here’s the table of contents.

As for Brennus, I’m working on it. It ought to be up late sunday to tuesday, though I can’t get any more precise than that right now – I have a busy weekend.

Sincerely,

Tieshaunn

Update

It does feel good to put your feet up…

So, in the interest of keeping you gals and guys up to date to what’s going on with my web serials:

– Brennus is going well. I’ve made some good progress with it. There should be an update around the late Sunday, or late Monday (I have classes for most of that day, so if I don’t finish the chapter by Sunday, I won’t be able to write until Monday afternoon).

– I’ve also made some progress with the Dreaming, and I expect an update – the culmination of the Sam arc – to be complete within the next week.

I have a Pathfinder session scheduled tomorrow, but it shouldn’t delay this schedule – I’m playing, not GMing, and so I don’t actually have to prepare anything.

I’ll also be back on irc around Sunday, in case anyone wants to talk – I’m afraid my schedule is a bit too busy today, to fit in an appropriate amount of time, and I never IM while playing p&p’s (takes concentration to keep my characters alive… not that I’ve ever finished a campaign with the same character I started it, not since the age of Tannheim at least).

Anyway, got to go. Busy day busy day, though not unpleasantly so, for once. Have a nice day and a nice weekend, everyone!

Sincerely,

Tieshaunn

The wonderful World of Food Poisoning

Imagine the title dripping so much sarcasm over your screens that you’ll have to replace them. No, really, do that. And then add another two or three gallons of it.

I’d organised a Pathfinder session for Saturday (probably the second-most awesome iteration of the D&D ruleset), which I was particularly stoked about because I’d finally get to play my early-entry Mystic Theurge (the penultimate satisfaction of my spellcaster fetish).

One of my friends suggested that we also have a barbecue, since it promised to be a nice day and all. P&P and Barbecue? Count me in πŸ˜‰

Turns out I should’ve stayed away. Or at least not partaken of the Barbecue. I don’t know which item it was which caused it, but I came down with an acute case of food poisoning which ruined the rest of the evening for everyone involved (and our GM wasn’t exactly feeling very swell, either). By the time I got home, I could barely walk straight.

By midnight, I’d dropped two kilogram by means which I am not going to describe here. Use your imagination. By ten o’clock in the morning, I’d dropped a good total of five kilogram. I’ve developed a fever and a monstrous headache that gets only worse if I close my eyes. You heard that right. I can’t even close my eyes without pain. Can’t keep them fully open, either, I have to keep them half-open or it’s just pain.

It took me a good half-hour just to write this little post. And I’d been planning to write all day, today, as I didn’t have any other commitments.

Welcome to the wonderful World of Food Poisoning I guess.

If there’s any lesson that can be learned of this, I guess, is that you shouldn’t eat sausages or steaks which you or a butcher you trust prepared themselves. Way more expensive, perhaps, but ultimately way less painful.

Oh God does this hurt. I can’t even feel my legs properly.

Stay the hell away from supermarket meat products. Seriously.

Sincerely,

Tieshaunn
